Everything is ok so far. When you connect the light to the solar panel it will work only during the night (when solar panel is in the dark and not in charging mode). You can test it by connecting it to the solar panel, set to mode 1 and then put a hand over solar panel (to darken it) and light will work.

After a month the light stopped working, this is the third time.
