Show Original I bought it for myself because I have third degree hearing loss. I hear the sounds of the telephone and the doorbell, but speech is still difficult to recognize. I tried turning it up louder and it started squeaking. I'm trying to set it up. And so the small device fits well into the ear and is not visible.
